I claim bragging rights to close friends who do exceptional things. (Part one of the RSF series featuring Aimee Lee can be found here) My current roommate, Linda Kwon, wears many hats as the Migrant Worker Film Festival Programmer in Korea, volunteer and former broadcaster for Migrant Worker TV, and co-founder of the Party, Benefit and Jam (PB & J) fund-raising events. She also holds a regular job - so I find it amazing that she's able to coordinate all of these other activities on the side.
Last Saturday there was a kick-off for the Opening Film of the Migrant Worker Film Festival - a festival which considers issues pertinent to migrant workers in Korea and other countries. The video above is from the Opening Ceremony prior to the film screening (too cute!), and this 15 minute trailer includes all of the highlights of the festival. Another very talented friend, Bum Lee, created the animated leader for the festival (which can be seen at the start of the trailer).
I am surrounded by friends here who continue to inspire me with their talents, passion, and their determination to make a difference in Korean society. For this, I'm grateful - and happy to support them in their causes.

what i find even more amazing is that linda is able to do SO MUCH and still be such a sweet and delightful person to be around!! how does THAT work?!
